EPSA USA’s HQ is based in Philadelphia, PA with offices in Houston, TX and Boston, MA. Due to COVID, we are all operating from home and implementing guidelines to be efficient while working remote. We are therefore open to applications from any location near our offices or potentially anywhere in the US. Job Description
How you’ll help
As a Data Analyst/Statistician, you’ll work closely with our R&D Senior Consultant and Director of Operations. You’ll also be part of the global team that develops the approach for the US market. In addition to assisting with all phases of an R&D study for our clients, you will assist in the ongoing effort of streamlining the internal processes related to delivering credits to our clients.
What you’ll do
• Develop template calculation models for Federal and state R&D tax credits, and revise as requirements change
• Prepare initial calculation models for clients, including data entry of payroll and tax return information
• Conduct statistical samples in accordance with Revenue Procedure 2011-42
• Format data from a variety of sources for use in calculating the R&D Credit
• Prepare statistical sample reports and other drafting as needed
• Participate in calls when data or statistics are at issue
• Assist with audit defense when requested
Profile
Experience & skills you’ll need
• 2+ years of experience as a data analyst and/or statistician, with experience with the R&D Credit
• Proficiency in Revenue Procedure 2011-42 and Internal Revenue Code Sections 41 and 174
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of different data sources, including JIRA, Excel, and Quickbooks
• General interest in various industries and business models with strong innovative capabilities
• Demonstrate a high degree of diligence, organization, and accountability
• Self-starter with ablilty to work independently
• Excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards
