We are currently operating on a hybrid schedule, where employees work part-time in the office and part-time remotely. Job Description
How you’ll help
As an R&D Consultant, you’ll work closely with our Delivery Team, made up of R&D Consultants, Data Analysts, Statisticians, and Tax Attorneys. You’ll also be part of the global team that develops the approach for the US market. In addition to conducting all phases of an R&D study for our clients, you will assist in the ongoing effort of streamlining the internal processes related to delivering credits to our clients.
What you’ll do
- Interact with clients and prospective clients on a regular basis
- Lead interviews with clients to understand and identify qualified activities to substantiate the R&D tax credit in accordance with IRC Section 41
- Gather data from a variety of sources and analyze to calculate the R&D credit
- Manage multiple projects and client needs, including scheduling, budgeting and client correspondence
- Prepare reports and other written documents as required
- Participate in professional association meetings and forums
- Assist with audit defense as needed
Profile
Experience & skills you’ll need
- 2+ years of experience in tax consulting, preferably with experience with the R&D Credit
- Aptitude for research, investigation, and quality communication with internal and external stakeholders, including high level executives
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- General interest in various industries and business models with strong innovative capabilities
- Demonstrate a high degree of diligence, organization, and accountability
- Self-starter with strong computer skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards
